BTN/MLL Summer Family Retreat 2023

Black to NTR invites you to participate in a Multi Day  Summer Family Fun Camp.

This is a great opportunity to combine some Family Fun time, Networking and have an Outdoor Learning experience that is appropriate for all ages.

Take advantage of the time to embrace the outdoors while learning some important life skills that will assit you in your Survival & Preparedness. 

On each day of this camp retreat, there will be select workshops, activities and discussions. Choose your length of Stay from 3 days - 5 days.

Bring the Family out for a time of Fun and Skills Building.

• Wed. Aug 9  -  Day 1: Base/Camp Site Management, Basic Wilderness Survival Skills...

• Fri. Aug 11  -  Day 3: Shelter types and planning, Building emergency shelters, Short term & Long term preparedness...
• Sat. Aug 12  -  Day 4: Participation in group activities, Team building skills...
• Sun. Aug 13  -  Day 5:  Family Camp Karamu...

Booking Types

In order to make this convenient to you and family. There are a number of booking types (tickets) offered that can be made relevant to your particular needs. 

Examples of ticket types:

Individuals:   5 day, 4 day or 3 day bookings

Couples:   5 day, 4 day or 3 day bookings

Family:   5 day, 4 day or 3 day bookings

5 day booking will be from Wed. Aug 9 -  Sun. Aug 13

4 day booking will be from Thur. Aug 10 - Sun. Aug 13

3 day booking will be from Fri. Aug 11 - Sun. Aug 13

Day Pass Participation

Just in case you are not able to stay for the duration of the camp, dont let that keep you away. You can still come out for part of the day while activities are ongoing. Select any of our Non Camper Day Passes that will provide you with access and participation for the selected days workshops and activities.

No age restrictions for children to attend the camp.

Parents discretion to be applied, based on degree of activities looking to engage in.

Children under 12 accompanying an Individual or Family member are Free of Charge.

All youth under 18 must be accompanied by Parent/Guardian.

Registeration for zoom session are as follows:

June 11, 2023 (Sunday)  -

Ready to Camp? 

Then here are a few things for you to consider.

What you must bring:

• Please be prepared to have any food/drink and snacks for your stay 
• Be ready with appropriate clothing for work and expected/unexpected weather conditions
• Also have relax/comfort footwear, back up socks and clothing
• Have appropriate Toiletry and Medicines as needed
• Bring personal protection - eyes, ears, head covering, boots & gloves for activities
• You are welcomed to bring personal tools/gear that you may be comfortable with or want to try out
• Personal camping items like tents*, hammocks, stoves, lights and other gear
• Bug Lotion/Spray, dont forget it!

What is provided for you:

• Water will be provided by your host for your cooking and hygeine and activities.
• There will be porta johns, hand wash stations and showers on site.
• Fire pit and Grills will be accessible for cooking needs.

* For those that do not have, or need Tents/Ground cover & Sleeping bags, they can be provided based on availability.
